Barach Obama, 45 (believed to be the first presidential candidate to address voters at Auditorium Shores since President Ronald Reagan in July 1984), rallied an estimated 20,000 people, who stood in the rain to hear the popular Democratic candidate, many several waiting hours.
In his remarks on Friday, February 23rd, Obama vowed to stem the influence of lobbyists and special interests in government, withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq and achieve universal health care coverage in his first term as president.
Next year could yield a wide open race for president, being the first year since 1928 that neither party will have an incumbent as its nominee for either President or Vice-President.
At this point, I'm leaning strongly toward voting for Obama. Why? Visit the Obama website at http://www.barackobama.com/ and click on "Issues" and "Overview" for a succinct list of his views and plans.
And then please give me one good reason why I shouldn't support this man for President.
