Come, enjoy the very best of Christmas shopping Austin Style. Featuring 32 musical performances, 130 artists, a full bar, good food, and that special Austin feeling that can be found nowhere else. The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar has become one of the regions most beloved holiday traditions. Where else can you dance in the aisles to your favorite band while shopping for fine art and distinctive gifts? The answer is right here in downtown Austin.

Offering a relaxed and informal atmosphere, the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar is open from 11AM until 11PM each day from December 9th through Christmas Eve. The show features an eclectic selection of unique fine art and distinctive gift items from predominately local artists and craftspeople in 85 personalized booths.

The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar began as a special event at Austin’s famous Armadillo World Headquarters (AWHQ). The Armadillo World Headquarters was the inspiration or origin of many local icons including Austin City Limits, Threadgills, and the South Austin Museum of Popular Culture, along with the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar.

Our live music stage is a favorite of local performers and audiences alike because of its warm and intimate setting.

The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar serves as a living link to Austin's past when the music, artistic expression and lifestyle of this city captured the imaginations of so many people across the country. Today's vital, growing city bears a large debt to the quality of life, rich in artistic and musical expression, established during the era of the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar's founding in 1976. Keeping that energy alive has been one of the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar’s greatest contributions to the cultural life of modern-day Austin.
